Hey guys....Got a few quick questions for yall about dropping a 1986 honda accord....Believe me...aint mine nor will I ever own one.....Its a freinds car and the way there wanting to do this I aint so fond of...There gonna heat the springs up and let it lower down...From what I know import steel is notorious for being real thin and not to strong for the reason of being cheaper and in my head this sounds like it could be kinda dangerous....anyone know of another method to do this cause i aint to familiar with Imports what so ever...allright, thanks guys,

new lower springs for the honda are cheap, heating the springs will make it ride like a log wagon
i gotta agree with this one... your friend can buy a set of coil over suspension springs relatively cheap. heating the springs will make the car lower ,but bounce like hell and sooner or later it will blow the struts.

here are a couple under $100 on ebay

and these aren't the cheaper coil over/universal type. these are engineered for the car. your friend will be happier with the ride if he goes this route.

i think it all depends on how low you want to go. camber kits ar4en't too expensive, and i got one on my daily driver. some are just eccentric bolts, some are a bolt in spacer kit. 1-2" drops don't require too much of camber adjust ment. it is when you go with the coil over kit that can get you to 4" drop is where the camber kits are needed most.
