lowering springs

will 1 or 2 inch spring drop affect the alignment on my car? 82 grand prix

also how far could i lower my car before i would need to change the shocks on it?

You won't know until you lower it.

Call the mfg of the lowering parts to find out what all you will need.

Caused my Camaro front wheels to lean in at the top, and toe
outwards.
Any changes should be checked

Yes...But a good alignment tech will be able to allow for it. You have control arms and is much easier to work with than a strut front suspension.

Once lowered, you will have to measure suspension travel and then compare it to the internal stop of the origional shock. If the shock bottoms on it's internal stop before the suspension hits it's stop, damage will ensue. You need to find a shock that will be in mid-travel as the car sits with its' new trim level.

On some applications it is better to go with a drop spindle, but two inches shouldn't be that much of a problem.
