LS vs LQ4

Little help If you would guy's, I have a 2003 LQ 4 motor I believe it was out of a chevy or GMC pick up or Hummer that my son had at his shop. It looks like a LS motor but has a cast iron block with aluminum heads. My question is what kind of power did these motors have HP.torque? Im thinking of putting it in my 54 pick up [Ford] . Don't know alot about these motors but its complete less the intake and fuel injection. I read that Edelbrock supplies an carburated intake, carb, ignition control box set up for the LS motors and was wondering if the LS and LQ 4 blocks were the same. Pops

Have a read of this. The LS stuff works on the iron blocks. You can get a ton of power out of that 6.0l not very much $$. Yes you can get a carbed set up for that engine. Download the GM performance parts catalog here. And go to page 293.
