ls1 head swap

hey guys im looking on ebay for some ls6 heads for my 04 gto does anyone know the factory casting numbers so i know im getting the real deal not some ls1 heads. also i do know that the factory intake is supposed to be the ls6 one and i would like to know if thats just internet rumor mill or fact. thanks.

Buying any major engine parts from ebay is a bad idea. Even craigslist would be a better choice because at least you can go see what you're buying and check them over. You'd be better off buying from jegs or summit though.

Don't you already have the 243 heads? If not, you can find new 799 heads for $300 each. Or look in the classifieds on ls1tech.com.

honestly im not sure if ive already got the Z06 castings or not id have to look. but again i dont really know. if they are the Z06 heads can i put in a lunati voodoo cam @ 278/282 or .584/.584. are the stock springs up to it and if so wouldnt i have to swap out the lifters, which supposedly equals me pulling the heads to get to em. im just a novice grease monkey so all help is much appreciated.
