Question LS1 heads on SBC 350?

New to the Hotrodding world.. Sad to say
I am getting ready to "try " a V8 Conversion on my porsche 914.
It is a ultra light car made by porsche and VW in the late 60's and early 70's. I know it is a foriegn and not looked at as a true hot rod. But if you ever took one threw a few turns you would change your minds. But it is lacking in horse power. The 914/8 is a super car. 300+hp in a 2100lb body. 0-60 in 4.5 and looks like a harmless little car. Europeon handling with that good old AMERICAN muscle. ha haaa ha ha
A friend of mine is willing to give me a 4 bolt main, and even built me a mild to wild Small block. I have LS1 heads and was wondering if anyone has ever heard if they can be used on a 350 or 283 build up? Can this be done or is this a no go idea. Can anyone suggest any ideas.

These guys here will be able to answer the Chevy questions, but, if you want to have answers regarding the swap, 914club.com is always having questions in regards to the swap. I believe it is the biggest forum for 914s, and the people over there are great.

Check it out.

P.S.

I have a 71 914 with a 911 3.2 in it.
