LS7 air filter.... interesting

Well I just got a new ram air box for my 383 Chevy, it uses a 14x3 air filter. I started doing a little research to see how many CFM's that filter would flow and if I should get a K&N or some other high flow filter.

I got to Rockauto and found the wix air filters are listed in size and CFM rating someting weird is going on because some of the bigger air filters are rated at only 250-300 CFM. Now i have seen some people make some serious HP with paper filters so I cant figure that one out.

Anyway I decided to check the LS7 to see if it had a cfm rating on that filter. It turns out it dosent but the filter is $100. I wanted to see what a $100 air filter looked like and I found this

Did they say what the pressure differential was for the Wix ratings?

They did'nt says the pressure diffrence but I did find a couple good websites regarding CFM and % of dirt, I'm glad I didnt get the K$N now!

This site is regarding 14x3 round air filters, The Puroilator flowed 736 CFM VS the K$N that flowed 835 CFM not worth the extra dirt in your engine unless its a track only driven car.
