LSD front end

My 01 Ram came with rear LSD and front is just open end. I was thinking about installing LSD in the front also to have true 4WD truck. I think it would also help me in deep snow and when/if I'm stuck.
This site has good prices on aftermarket units

Now I'm not looking to be a pro 4wheeler so I don't think I'd want to go with locker unit etc. What do you guys think.

I have installed several Truetrac differentials in the front of 4X4 trucks. I installed an Eaton Posi in one that had 44 inch tires and I installed a Governor Lock in a 3/4 ton front axle. I have put Lock Right kits in a few Jeep Ranglers. Each one of these caused the truck to drive different, and each one works better in certain conditions. If you have the ability to completely unlock the front axles then anything will work and still be alright on the street. If you can not unlock the axles then you might not like the results on the street.

Depending on which front diff you have, the Trac-Lock is a good option. Easily rebuildable if needed and cheaper price than a Truetrac.

LSD in front can be dangerous if you have no way of unlocking the axles. If you can unlock the axles then there is no problem with it on the street.
