I just got done doing a '66 Chevy II in Marina Blue (Lt blue poly) and it was a bear cat to get... hardest I've ever dealt with... but also did the job in Martin-Senour because the customer worked at NAPA, while I'm used to using PPG... long story short... once coverage was achieved, we nibbed the base with 1000g... then cut the base in half with blender, over reduced 10-20%, turned the air pressure WAY down to control, talking 15psi, increased gun distance, moved F A S T and overlapped 80%, then immediately cross coated the panel while maintaining a medium coat... never had such problems with a color. As hard as it was, the loss column remains empty
