What Is The Best Temp For Spraying This Paint?

First and foremost is the gun clean? Is the fluid nozzle, tip or needle damaged? Have you adjusted gun properly?

YES IT'S A NEW GUN STARTINGLINE BY DeVILBISS HAS 1.3 AND 1.8 NEEDLE AT THE GUN IS 45 psi

45 psi is way too high. Could be your problem. 29 psi should be all you need.

if its not spraying heavy on the top and bottom and light in the middle are you making an X pattern after the second coat? lower grade bases will do it more than the good ones.

I think he was using the psi recommendations for a conventional gun rather than HVLP.

could be, looking at the pattern while holding back the trigger should tell the story. Still, I use the X and fog even with the good paint I just feel better, even though its not really necessary..

its what i've been looking at, because my old gun is gone and i'm down to just a small little old school siphon gun

I would recommend the finishline for you. It has the 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 fluid tips and sprays as well as my GTi with the same tips.

i've been looking at both, but just started to lean towrds the startingline because its a little cheaper :thumbup:

So, how did you make out.

I just got done doing a '66 Chevy II in Marina Blue (Lt blue poly) and it was a bear cat to get... hardest I've ever dealt with... but also did the job in Martin-Senour because the customer worked at NAPA, while I'm used to using PPG... long story short... once coverage was achieved, we nibbed the base with 1000g... then cut the base in half with blender, over reduced 10-20%, turned the air pressure WAY down to control, talking 15psi, increased gun distance, moved F A S T and overlapped 80%, then immediately cross coated the panel while maintaining a medium coat... never had such problems with a color. As hard as it was, the loss column remains empty :D
