lt1 rebuild

Well here is my question, give my your thoughts. I know this isn't a hot rod but atleast it is v8 rear wheel drive. My 95 caprice classic 9c1 has 340,000 miles on it. ( yeah it was a taxi) I would like to rebuild the engine since it has never been rebuilt. (ya can't beat a corvette engine for $700) The engine runs fine now, but someday she is going to pop.

I have never rebuilt v8 engine, but I have taken many apart. I am 18. Do ya think I could do it? I am mechanicaly inclined and I know I could rebuild a normal v8, but lt1's are more complex.

Should I leave it for the pro's???

You can do it. Its not bad. Its just the newer motors have more wires and stuff. Least you dont have to tune a carb

If your really affraid of messing something up, label EVERYTHING you take off. You can do it np, good luck.
