I DO like your thinking lol, i normally go under the same rule, I'm guessing the 292H will work as well as say the XE284H right? I do run the lucas "zink" additive, so far i've had no problems with both cams i've run, the other seemed to be a bit much & was hard to tune as it only got 6 inches vacuum, even advancing it didn't help much, it too was a single pattern, here are the cams i've run, now running the smaller one.

The smaller cam is pulling 16 inches vacuum but fizzles out at around 5800
