I have a '64 E Camino, 327 with a 2004r, that I put a Pertronics Electronic Distributor on and want to install a Mach 468K Sun tach. The tach does not have a wiring diagram nor wires for the install. It has 3 terminals; Ignition, Trigger and ground. What gauge wires should I use and where should I connect the trigger wire?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Killeratrod, Thanks for the quick reply. I was told I didn't need a transmitter for the 468k and the pdf shows transmitters for the install. Do you know if this tach requires a transmitter? or can I connect the trigger wire to the negative pole on the coil ? I have a Pertronics (electronic) distributor instead of a points distributor.
I've found that this tach does not require a transmitter. The problem is in the Tach, which is not functioning. That is why I couldn't get a signal reading on the tach. I hooked up another known working tach to the car and everything worked. Problem solved, and thanks for the reply.
