I miswrote the last question. WHat I should have said was had a slight valve seat leak,not a blower intake leak. And yes, they are set hot. This was the first fire up and were tightened to .016 and loosened to .030.So going to try .012 cold.Appreciate your time.

I'm guessing that the AJ heads are aluminum. Because this expands more than the valve and pushrod material, the lash will increase with heat.

As far as the leakdown is concerned, it may diminish as the valve is hammered home by the valve spring over time. I do recommend disassembling any head assembly and checking it out before installing it. That's a better time to find a poorly seating valve or other problem.

Yes, They are Alan Johnson Stage II fuel heads. Everything is new, and hopefully after making a pass,they will settle down.Everything will be taken apart after ever race anyway. It is on Alc with 20%.
