The Maiden Voyage

As some of you know, my wife and I were putting together a benefit car show to help raise money for the construction of a local skatepark. Fun on 4 Wheels was the name of our show. It exceeded our expectations for a first show...we had 85 cars and 20x that many people to come out and walk around and enjoy the day. The owner of the dealership where we held the show personally judged the cars himself(he is also the owner of one of the largest Lambo dealerships in the US). He brought out 2 new Lamborghinis for people to enjoy.
But the main thing was that he was so thrilled with our efforts that he would like us to make this an Annual Event
I saw a couple of the HR.com members there...Thanks for coming out to support efforts!
Next up on the block will be our 7th annual Downtown Benefit Show...Looking forward to seeing you there!

But as some of you also know my truck has been in the making for the last 2 1/2 years. Well Saturday was when I put the first miles on her. I finished up literally in time to get it to the show. Since then I have put a whopping 32 miles on it! But here is how she looks in actual daylight...not garage lighting.LOL!

Later,
WEIMER

I took the liberty of cropping your pic and lightening it up a tad,
boy thatīs low when the front tires nearly rub the underside of the hood
One tasty veehickle, and congratulations on the show.

Yeah. We've been seeing a lot of garage shots of this over the past months. Great to see it outside in the wide open spaces. Looks even better. Congrats on the show and truck Weimer.

Hey weimer,
Was glad to see you there, too bad we didn't get to talk longer but you were getting very busy with lots of inquiring minds about your build/project. I was looking around for a truck still in gray primer when I got there. Was surprised to see it was velvet black. I like the skull and wrench cross bones. I also liked your riding partner, Mr. Bones that was also a cool effect with the skull control panel for the air bags.
What date is the next event downtown?
I also talked with the couple who had the PT Cruisers with the tear drop trailer, nice folks to talk to. They did a good free sales pitch for the Pt. Cruisers and I bet the dealer didn't even know what a great job they were doing out there. Makes me consider getting one when the kids are all grown up and gone.

The S10 looks even better in daylight. That is a sick looking truck
What all do you have left to do to it?

Wow, what a return on the work! Looks great.
Great news on the show, how did the skate park fair out?

Annual event eh? Sounds like you will have a part time job as committee chairman for the next few years. Start documenting what worked and what didn't, what was needed and how much. It will make things so much easier next year.
