Main caps Helicoil question

First off Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone out there.
I have this 355 4 bolt Im building for the Speed Skiff, all new stuff, Scat crank and rods, Wiseco 9-1 pistons a nice Mike Jones cam (thank you very much guys)
Ok so Im putting this together with ARP main studs. Im checking with Plastigauge and torqueing the main cap bolts I pull out the threads on 4 of the bolts holes. I take it apart and look down in there, and the bolt holes are ALL F___ d up. Like they were rusted or something. I know I can use Helicoils, but can I put like 10 of them in? Do I need to re-align bore too? I have another block, needs 2 sleeves, but this one has $600.00 worth of machine work done to it already.

You should be able to have it heli coiled and not experience any issues as it`s somewhat of a common procedure done on real high output engines since heli coils are stronger than the stock threads.

Adding studs it should be align honed anyways and check bores with bore gauge is one thing but you can't check alignment witha bore gauge.

If you 7/16 plus of theads you should be fine.

Just had it done, and I wasnt even close to 60 psi. Someone worked on this block before. I dont know what happened to the threads here, but most of the top 2/3 are gone. I dont know if something happened at the machine shop or before it got here. Anyway, I missed it until final assemebly. Helicoil,s the way to go.
