Major leak at hose connection

ok my friends 98 oldsmobile just broke down at my house it was a transmission leak, the leak is spraying out of the connection where it runs from metal to a rubber tube, right in front of the fan and it is spraying like a garden hose all over the fan and the exhaust manifold. i tried gorilla taping it but that didn't really work like i thought it would, any suggestions as to how i could fix it without having to get a new tube?

well it's a male to female connection the hose being the male and the adapter from the metal being female and the leak is coming out of the adapter so i might be able to just clamp the adatper down tight on the hose to prevent the leak... i think that might work

Sounds like a power steering hose. If it is, the leak won't last for too long before the pump's dry. Then the steering will get hard, like when turning w/the engine off.

Or. I could be fulla it.

steering hoses are no where near the radiator on FWD cars, they are in the back on top pass side and run across behind the engine above the rack to the steering box part of the rack at the end of the column just under the brake booster

trans line is leaking if its in front of the rad

call local parts stores for a new line

put it on
