Major Power Steering Problem ,please Help

Boy! Do I Need Help. I Have A 57 Chevy Pick Up Which Has A Jim Mayers Mustang Ii Front End On It With A Manual Steering Rack On It , Finally Scraped Up Enough Cash To Purchace A Mustang Ii Power Rack. The Only Problem Is The Power Rack Housing Where The Steering Shaft Enters Is Hitting The Vertical Frame That Connects The Motor Mount To The Mustang Ii Crossmember. The Only Thing I Can Think Of Is To Notch Out The Vertical Motor Mount Frame, Unless Someone Has A Better Idea,

notch and box it sounds the easiest way and its safe too . as when you box it the strengh will be restored if its curvedyou can use a section of pipe wall to make it look nicer .
