Is it a disc brake car already? If not that would be a good starting point. You could swap in a junk yard set of spindles and discs from another car (pretty sure late 70's granda will still work on those). A good set of springs, shocks, and urethane suspension bushings, you should be in decent shape without emptying out any bank accounts. Just a few thoughts, I'm sure there are others with better ideas.
sell it and buy a 65 fastback !!! or just check into some urethane bushings and some new shocks, also a new set of nice brake pads & shoes, cut drums and rotors
Start here:energysuspension.com | Welcome Check out the Ford Mustang section for front and rear bushings and swap shocks to KYB's KG5517 & KG4504 heavier sway bars will help also.
