Not much that's going to make a measurable difference for less money, maybe slicks. Go easy on the clutch and cv joints if you use them, they don't like slicks.
I don't know of anything that will match a well thought nitrous application dollar per hp. Larry |

Here is an idea. It will not make as big of a differece as nitrous, but it is little cheaper.

Nitrous is probably dollar for dollar the best temp performance upgrade that can be done. That car is never going to be a screamer but that doesn't mean it cant give you some nice performance.
Nitrous is safe (both for the engine and yourself) when done properly. However, given the nature of it and your money situation, if you cant afford to replace/rebuild the engine, you cant afford to use nitrous. Thats just my opinion anyways.

Chain it to a car with a big block chevy in it

breathe
make it breathe better. high flow cold air intake and a bigger exhaust and maybe even a 4-2-1 header and bigger throttle body. it'll sound like a weed wacker, but you wont have any restriction in the exhaust or intake. get your ECM reprogrammed. bigger cams. of course nitrous. underdrive pulleys. most of these upgrades wont be noticeable by themselves but if you get them all done at the same time you will notice a big difference. especially if you put nitrous on it.

my choice
I'd rather push it off a cliff than use panzy oxide.

Find a message forum for Saturns. They will have the best answers for ya. Someone is already in your situation, with their car, except they already have the mods done, so they will be able to tell you what to do, where to get it, and how fast it will make it.
Unless you wanna drop a small block in it, then you are at the right place.
