Make a roadster top?

I have a model t touring shortened into a tub and need to make a chopped roadster top. Anybody here done this?
I'm looking into the rearmost piece of a model a roadster top - the frame & 2 bows - but don't know how to do the front.
the windshield is just the lower section with chopped stancheons, about 10" high so the rear would be about 12" i would imagine.
Thanks, oj

depends

on one I used a piece of 1 X1 angle across the front with a piece of wood formed with rounded corners -edges to tack material to. I had bolt-studs on the top of the posts and holes in the angle that I had to use nuts to fasten down. some T's had an easier set up that had a wing screw so you didn't need a wrench to put the top down.
some info for you

That was a good article, thanks for posting it. Now i am torn between fabricating the whole thing or trying to use as much Henry Ford stuff as possible. I'd prefer to modify original it's just I have no clue what the front is supposed to be modeled after, the model t attached at the top of the upperwindshield and i don't have one of them.
Can you post a pic of how yours turned out?
Is yours chopped, can you see a traffic light?

langs parts

Do a search for Lang's model t parts
\you might want to use these original top bow clamps
Top clamp with thumb screw
Item Number : 3588
Year : 1922-1927
When I was moving to the new place in 2001 the roadster was parked out back, and luckly it didn't have a battery so it wasn't in the barn that burned that weekend, but someone stole the top.

I always had to duck down to see a light, I have seen the 50's style prisms we used when we had a visor on our 50's chevies so we could see the traffic light

top hardware

I have a bunch of top hardware of unkown make in the shop. Model T stuff is getting expensive and I haven't found any more cars off hidden in the trees lately. The roadster frame shown with my posts is for a glass 23 I started a few years ago, The car was free but I made a new frame from CCR plans, different rear end but rebracked the tube front axle. the project is stalled. stalled. Someone broke into my shop and stole $ 7 k of tools and parts.
