Making a 4 door front seat fold?????

Hey all. I have found an awesome seat set for my '67 coupe deville. It's from a 2000 sedan deville -- which causes the only problem. My car is a 2 door, the seat set is from a 4 door.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make seats from a 4 door car fold to allow access to the rear seat??

Sounds like your gonna have your hands full. First does the newer back seat fit in the the back ? If it doesn't I would rethink this idea. The Cadillacs that I have done which are older ones the front seat is bolted together. There we're no brackets for the seat to fold forward. That idea has never crossed my mind. I know you want to save money but I did a 67 several years ago and it had great seats in it, center armrests and all. I dont think its feasable. Tom

Tom, thanks for your input.

I'm not really trying to save money by using the four door seat set. I use the car as a daily driver and the current seats really hurt my back, they don't have head restraints either.

The main issue I have is that modern full sized 2 door cars a few and far between. Ideally I'd like to keep the look of a bench seat (maybe a 60/40).

So I suppose that I should change my question to: Can anyone suggest what donor cars I could find modern, power, tan leather seats for my '67 coupe deville in?

As a suggestion you might check out the truck seats which come in 60/40 bench you might get lucky and find the right type new our used. And they have power seats and leather available.

The seats that you have now have a recliner in them. And I think they may even have Belts to seat but I cant remember for sure. If they dont there is a better chance that you could make them work but there would be alot of work to do. When the recliners are installed they are specific to a 4 door and do not allow for a forward dumps.
