Making Cab Corners, rocker panels?

I would like to make some cab corners, and a few other patch panels for Chevy Luv trucks. I have a few internet friends that need some and of course no one makes anything like those.

Can I make a wood buck to form a few cab corners?
How about a rocker panel, or lower fender patches.

I don't want to mass produce anything, just help a few guys... Of course they are all cheap skates.

Thanks
Richard

Get yourself over to www.metalmeet.com as that is where the metal fabricators hang out..Don't be intimidated by their skills as we all started somewhere..The tools needed are very simple and you probably have most of them..

Good Luck

Sam

You can make patch panels in many ways. This was made with a hammer and torch formed over a 3/8" flat bar and a 5/8" round rod:

The scrap and the patch side by side:

If you have access to a press...you could make dies to form the parts you need, if they are not available commercially that is.

No parts available. Some fiberglass hoods and fenders, but they are real rough.
No mass demand for almost any body parts, except light weight race parts. Like trying to find a patch panel for a Whippet.

I have not looked at metalmeet in a long time... Time to drop by again... But there is a ton of knowledge here too
