Making custom exhaust tips
I have a 49 chevy pu and want the exhaust pipe tips to exit out the running board tread face. Since the truck will lay to the ground, and the running board is only 2" tall, the height of the exhaust tip will be only 1 3/4" tall much like NASCAR Boom Pipes. I will have aprox 420 hp and 2.5" exhaust piping so I made the tip 10"wide. I like the wider look. I know this is much greater than the square inchs of the piping but can the tips really be too big?

Not really can the tips be too big..Yours sound about right to me for the looks..Are you making them oval with rounded ends or square,,
