Hey, Marc

Sure do! I haven't dreamed 'em up yet, but I'm planning on 2 colors of vinyl -- a redish, darkish wine color (like the truck body) and a creamy buckskin/tan color.

Any cool ideas for designs?

Hey Alan,

This may sound a bit on the tacky side (depending on your taste), but since you are a musician and play acoustic, have you ever thought of putting an acoustic guitar and some how blending in the chevy bow tie? Even if you just wanted a subtle look, you could easily use the raised vinyl technique. I have this vision in my head of the guitar with the bowtie, if you're curious I could draw it up for you and post it in here for to check out.

I like the idea!

Yeah! Let's see your sketch, bro' -- and THANKS.

PS - I would want the shape of a drednaught acoustic -- like my 1968 Gibson Hummingbird

Yep, I've been getting addicted to this site, plus I work until midnight throughout the week, so it's a good place to relax afterwards....

Ok Alan,

Here is a rough idea of what I was thinking of (notice I said rough). There are two pics, one is embossed version to kind a give you an idea of what it would look like under vinyl (don't be scared of it, it needs to be cleaned up still). The other is the version before I embossed it. They would have looked cleaner if I had a scaner('cause then I could have drew it on paper).

Ok, looks like I'm going to email them to you 'cause I can't figure out how to post pics off my computer

Ohh, look, I just discovered how to do it

A bit too much detail for working with vinyl ... just the guitar and the bowtie is cool though.

Cool idea ... THANKS, man.

Have you thought about "Rod Doors" products? They're vacuum formed plastic and come in several designs. They have a "kit" for your truck that will wrap around behind the seat as well as cover the doors. You fit them and glue your choice of fabric to them.

Thanks, 48Liner

Haven't checked 'em out ... depending on the prices, it sounds like it could save some work -- did I say depending on the prices?

Some of those kits are awfully expensive!
