Post Making room for gauges, in-dash air conditioning

Several posts have asked for a way to make room for in-dash air conditioning in small cars with gauges sticking into the dash, competing for space. Here is how I did it on a '41 Willys pickup. VERY tiny behind dash space but by making 18ga sheet metal cones and welding them to the dash panel, I made plenty of room for the air conditioning evaporator. Driver gets better look at gauges and looks good too!
