Makita 9523NBH Grinder
 

Has anyone ever changed the bearings and brushes in a Makita 9523NBH grinder? I have had this grinder for quite a few years and it has really been a good one.

Well after years of use and abuse it has picked up a vibration and a decrease in rpm's. I also have to manually give the wheel a spin to get it going, not the safest thing to do, but it works.

Has anyone ever repaired this model grinder? Any tips or advise is appreciated.

I would not bother as the repairs are way more than just retiring that one and getting a new grinder..Just not economic to repair that sort of tool..

I replaced the brushes in my 15 year old 4" Makita Grinder last year when it was doing the same thing you are describing. The brush set was about $8.00. It works good as new. Took me all of about 10 minutes to install them.

$8 to fix a $60 grinder makes perfect sense.
