I have a very similar Tach-- Mallory, 5" Face, 1/2" Shift light in the Face, and two dials. One for the shift light rpm setting, and the other for the built-in REV LIMITER . Great tach, I liked it altho I discovered that the limiter function doesn't work with an MSD ignition, the box justs ignores the tach but the shift light and needle worked. The movement is a litlle to slow to follow a free rev but was fine in gear. Approximately 33 yrs old and just quit working, Mallory will still service it last time I looked. Mine is all black, and the back is basically a metal cup, yours looks to be maybe older yet than mine. Does yours work? 5" face, or is it smaller?
