Post Mallory YL & Ignitor

Hey freaks!
My engine is a highly modified 351W with a MSD6A ignition box connected to an Accel Supercoil.
Distrubutor is an Mallory YL with mechanical advance.
It has worked great with points but I got tired of setting them and Mallory points are very expensive!
Last week i got tired at the disttributor so I desided to buy a Pertronix Ignitor.
First I checked how it would hook up with the MSD6A and got a wiring diagram from Pertronix.
The installation was really easy and the engine fired right up!
I set the ignition timing and did a testrun.
The engine didn't deliver the power it use to do with points.
I tryed several different timing from 7 up to 18 degrees with no improvment.
I changed the plugs and ingreased the gap 0.005 but still no improvment.
Finaly I removed the distributor and checked the shaft play and everything was by factory limits.
What can be wrong? Have anyone got problems instaling Ignitior in a high horsepower engine?
Can the coil be a problem?
Can it easily be checked?
