Mandrel bending room
I was in Deytens Shipyard in Charleston SC recently. It is the old Charleston Naval Base. I was wandering around one day and came upon the old mandrel bending pipe shop. They had everything from a table top bender that made me drool to benders that where capable of 16" copper nickel pipe. I swear the mandrels were taller than me at 6'2". It was all totally unused and covered in dust. What a waste, I guess the Chinese do it cheaper.
