Post manual choke

I had an e;ecetric choke on my carb, but I just replaced it with a manual choke carb. I wanted to know how do you engage and disengage a manual choke. I have never had to deal with this problem before. This is just a short term fix until I can rebuild my other carb.

You will have to run a cable to it from the inside of the car to pull to close the choke or open it.

Talking

you've already replaced it?

close the choke when you start the car when it's cold, let it warm up for a minute or so and then open the choke a bit or full if it will idle fine. when you drive the car you will know if it is boggy and needs more choke to warm up, or if there is too much choke and the car will not accelerate the way it normally does. just remember not to leave the choke partially closed when driving after the car is warmed up.
