manual/electric choke

im new to carbs and was wondering whats difference between manual/electric choke, which is better, how they work, etc. thanks for all information

A manual choke has a cable that you manually pull to close and open the choke. An electrical choke has an electric heater in it to warm it up to close it automaticly.
There is also a choke with a rod down to a manifold spring which closes the choke.
They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

I kind of like the manual choke, but since my wife drives my cars, we need something more "woman friendly", if you get my drift....LOL

Manual chokes are simple, but if you forget to un-choke it, you can ruin your engine. I had one for a while, & I just learned to un-choke it as soon as it started so I wouldn't forget.
