Im looking for an external fluid coolr for a manual trans.. so far i cant seem to find any for a manual only auto. i guess it would need an external pump but i am having a hard time finding them. anyone have any ideas? like this one.

i've never heard of a cooler for a manual trans, but I'm sure someone has made or tried one. The manual trans is oil is so much thicker than auto trans oil, or even motor oil, I would think there would be pump problems. Also, I would think an aluminum manual trans case would dissipate heat fairly well.

I have only seen them on endurance racing cars/trucks. You might want to search for rear end coolers because they are the same thing and you won't come up with so many auto trans hitts.

I have seen rear end coolers use a small dry-sump pump driven off of the pinion yoke by a belt. You may be able to do the same on the trans if it isn't a slip yoke.

Stock car products sells the pinion yokes with the pulley on them.
