Post manual trans in my chevelle....

i want to convert from my current turbo 350 to a 4 or 5 speed manual trans. what would you guys suggest i invest my money into? what kind of clutch/tranny etc. i have 4.11's right now so maybe a 5 speed would be better? if my car has never had a manual trans in it but it was an option then a pedal and linkage should bolt right up right??? thanks in advance. later

what i have read and heard from lots of people a muncie 4 speed works very well.A friend of mine ran a muncie 4 speed with 4:11's and he toped out at about 115 mph and he said that he haid no problems with it. from the sounds of i would think the linkage would bolt right up but i am not 100% shure.
