manual window regular
i have been driving a 1974 toyota corolla since june of '74. it has had no problems other than the usual things that wear out. the driver side window regulator is now defective. the handle simply rotates. i have removed the trim and handle but cannot determine how to remove the regulartor. i usually repair simple problems like this. can the regular be repaired or will i have to buy and install a new/used one.
the car has only 220 k. miles and is used for cheap transporation to work and around town. it uses about 1 qt of oil every 3000 miles. this year i started using lucas oil additive. the oil of choice all these years has been havoline 10w-40. THANK YOU, MARSHALL O.

well if you cant see any bolts holding it in, its probably rivieted in...you will probably need to replace it. remove the glass, drill out the rivits and the regulator will come out. go buy a riviter for like 10 bucks and buy some rivits and you will be good to go.
