Marine holley 4150 on my car, rebuild?
I just picked up a holley carb, the guy said it was leaking and needs a rebuild. I ran the list number and found it is a MARINE carb, here are the specs:
list 80309 Dual feed 4150 715cfm jets (F)72,(R)80,90 2.5 power valve Vacuum secondaries. So I need to get a rebuild kit for it and I'm wondering if I can use a regular 4150 kit for a car on it. I think I need a different power valve, I have close to 20" vacuum on my motor. Anyone know what is different on the marine carb besides these J-tubes?

Not many differences.I have used a few marine on cars successfully. The vent tubes should be exchanged for the strait up type.Power valve should also be exchanged for around 6".Did it come out of a Volvo Penta?

The guy I bought it from said it was on his chevelle when he bought the car a few years ago, he didn't really know anything other than that.

Marine carbs are often tuned with a different accelerator pump and always have those J tubes, but they are the same basic carb as an automotive application.
