Maroon scotch brite before sealer/paint? ok?

There were some spots hard to get to with sandpaper so with that being is it okay to breeze over those surfaces with maroon scotch brite? I broke through past primer so I plan to seal everything up with spi's epoxy primer reduced and then shoot base/clear.

Yes, but the red or maroon Scotch Brite pads can be very aggresive if you push down too hard, so light pressure only.

I think the gray ones are, but I could be mistaken as I only use the red.

The grey ones are finer. They even make a white for blending basecoats.
