Maroon pads are equal to about 320-400 grit.
I wouldn't use those for leveling clear. Gray pads are closer to 600 grit. Be very careful about sanding through the clear with only one coat on..... |

The gray pads are for scuffing clear coat.Red is for paint prep

if you want good sanding pads check on ebay look under bowling ball pads
these go from 600 grit up to 4000. about 15.00 for 6 u can use these with your DA too and they last a long time |
