Masking a Convertible
Hello All,
As part of my plan to paint my 67 Firebird convertible I need to figure out exactly how to mask my convertible top. The car is receiving a color change so that means I'll need to do the jambs, etc. The carpet/interior will remain in the car, but the interior door panels have been removed. Any tips? Should I mask it top up? Should I shoot the jambs and exterior at one time? Thanks, Chris

The best way is to remove the top,lot of work.
So second way is to cover the top with clear plastic car cover and then lower the top and mask with clear plastic car cover. Make sure all the seams are taped good as a little leak will leave over spray. Go to your local paint jobber and buy the good plastic. Tape with 2'' tape and tape agaign. Good luck
