I'm learning as I go along. You guys have been a great help. I was about to put a new gasket on my oil pan, because I thought that was the issue.
There are oil pressure gauge line kits in either plastic or copper. OEMs used copper for years, then began using plastic. Either will work but a lot can depend on the use and how it's routed. Obviously copper will withstand high temps better, plastic is less likely to kink if bent tightly.

Ideally you'd protect the line (either type) wherever it touches another component or passes through the firewall, etc.
