Master Cylinder or booster?

I was on my way to the DMV and had to lock up the brake when some jerk pulled in front of me doing 10 mph, I was doing 50. My 73 Olds died on the spot. I had to push it off the road. It finally started after about 10 minutes. Since the hard braking my brake pedal is slowly sinking to the floor at stops. When I hit it hard the brakes work fine. I know the the brake sinking to the floor generally points to a master cylinder problem, but the car dying usually means that the booster is bad from what I remember.

What do you guys think? Did I blow the booster or the master cylinder?

The master is bypassing pressure, replace it.
