Post master cylinder differences

What is the difference in a standard manual brake master cylinder and one for the same application only for a power unit?I have a new manual master cylinder on my 64 Ford and just bought an original power brake booster unit for it. I hate to replace the master cylinder if it will work on the power unit.I think the bore is the only difference. So what effect will it have on the braking?

the master cyl bore determines the travel of the pedal, the amount of pressure and volume it displaces, and pedal effort.

Take a look at this site, it has some good information in the tech and Q&A sections.
