Max cam lift for a 350 chevy stock head?

Hi
anyone know what is the maximum cam lift for a stock chevy 350 cylinder head? My 350 is from a camaro 76. I got a roller cam with .539 ex lift with 1.5 rockers. Can I use it with a good set of valve springs?
thank you very much

What casting number??

In general.. Stock production heads do not have enuff spring height/diameter to use that kind of lift.. It can be done with the correct springs/retainers/locks and some valve guide modification. Competition Products offers kits with correct components.

Also stock production heads do not support flow/volume much over about .480 lift. or 6000 rpm.

A lot of responses will give you answers that they are running .500+ lifts on stock heads and they make horsepower. But in real life, these are usually a waste of parts.

Agreed with Bob. Stock springs are "safe" to about .470" lift.
