Which roller camshaft model do you have? Usually comp cams will display an operating range for a specific cam and many will have a stall recommendation as well. Most of the time they will give an operating range based on a benchmark 350. Since you have a 406, simply multiply the operating range/stall recommendation by 7/8 to get the number for the larger 406. Usually you want a stall that equals the low RPM number of the camshaft's operating range. If you go too low you will get a softer launch, if you go too high you will get too much slippage at high RPM costing you power. If in doubt, call Comp Cams and speak with a rep.
