The car has 6 ignition coils. One for each spark plug. The coils are controlled by the ECM (computer). The crankshaft position sensor is one of many inputs that the ECM uses to control the coils.
My point is that the trial and error method of trouble locating does not work.
A scan tool and a (trusted) person able to interrput the readings is the way to go. Can you say --- Dealer
It is possible that there is voltage problem that is stressing the coils.
