Maybe off line for abit.

To the mods I ask for you indulgence for this thread.I am posting here because this is the section I normally post in and where the old timers of the site are for the most traffic that know me.

On this Tues I am going in for surgery for carpal tunnel.I have it bad in both hands, but because I am primary left handed we are doing that one first and at some point over the winter will do the right hand. This means that I will be one handed and if I can post at all,it will not be in the proper form(caps, etc) and brief. The stitches won't be taken out until the 7Th.

Just a FYI for all of you,

Thanks,

Gary

I had my right wrist done about 10 years ago.....It helped a lot, I was not laid up too long, just dont do anything strenuous with it for a while.
Good luck with it

My wife's computer has a "talk to text" thingy which types whatever you say, maybe something you already have but don't know?
Either way, best of luck with the surgery.

The wife just had it done 2 weeks ago, carpel tunnel and trigger finger at the same time. She was back to work the next day, the brace/bandages came off last week. Another month or so she is getting the other hand done. Hope yours goes as well as hers did.

Good luck.

This stuff scares me. I work with my hands like a lot of you. It is real hard to twist things more than a couple times, even harder to hold onto something for a period with clamping effort. 40 something and the battle scars show.

Im right there with you guys; and Im half your age.
Ive been doing physical therapy since I was 4 years old and Im 32 in a couple days. Its the only thing that keeps me out of a wheelchair.

Please, if you have physical therapy, listen to them; it really does pay off in the end. Yes it hurts, yes its annoying and takes forever, but its worth it. There were a lot of carpal tunnel patients in and out of the therapist over the years; the ones that take it seriously, almost always are the ones with no complaints.

Good luck Gary, you've got this

Yeah, damm it.Hate not being able to work in the shop.Carpal tunnel surgery to my left hand keeps me from grabbing anything being left handed.

Tomorrow I go for a check up on it.So far I'm not impressed. Also going to have a growth removed from my left leg and tested to cancer.Sucks getting old.
