maybe a silly question but...
gonna try a used 9inch member/gears so.. how do i check... what the number of spline is.. do i literally just count the spline on the axle ends .. or is there another way? Also.. when i check out the pod do i just eyeball the teeth for chips and check the rest for cracks ? and lastly .... will any 9inch center section fit any 9inch rear end.. i have the smaller tapperd axle tubes(probably 28spline) and the donor will probably be from a mid 70's ford pickup .
