Mech to electric speedo

I have an 83 chevy truck and it has a mechanical speedo on it now. I want to put the auto meter electric speedo in it. That way when I change tires rear ends ect. all I have to do is recalibrate to make it right again. What is the best way to go from mech to electric

thanks

Most electric speedometers (aftermarket) have a sending unit that goes into the transmission LIKE the cable has a gear. You buy the right sending unit ( Turbo 350....C6 ect) and install it in the transmission. Real easy....then run a wire to the new speedometer.

Then do the calibration setting per the manufacturers instructions.....

EASY......but I prefer the old mechanical ones........MAYBE because I can get them to read correctly..
