In my area (southern New York State, near NYC), I was quoted $1500 (2 years ago) to soda-blast or sand-blast my 55.5 chevy stepside, outer skin only. Inner cab would have been extra. Same quotes from 2 different outfits.

If there were a place that would have done the job for around $750, I probably would have given them the work. But $1500+ is kinda ridiculous, imo. But that just goes to show how few shops there are around my area I guess.

I ended up stripping it myself with chemical and a small pressure blaster for the nookies and crannies.

best check the rules. there is a lot to it. much depends on what you do and how much . i do enough to pay for doing my own and maintenance on the equipment. i don't think i would have invested in it in town.
the cost is 100 an hr so it depends on how bad it is and how much you want cleaned. it's hard to do a car in and out in a day without a huge setup. my hopper is only 6.5 sq ft so there is recycle time and clean up. it also takes time to mount on the rotisserie .
