hi dave.
we have driven about 2000k around france and ditched the car at Hertz versailles, rather than drive in Paris itself. We stood on top of the arc de triumphe and watched out over Paris as motorists, bikers, pushbikers, auto rickshaws, buses etc , somehow revolved around the arc without smashing into each other. we were amazed to say the least.. We did a tour on the double Red buses around the city. The pace is frantic, have to queue for everything in these countries.
We are heading to Scotland to meet with friends now iin the uk but are currently shivering in Dover at 13 with wind-driven rain.
Driving here on the left is far better than France and Switzerland. ( one close call in France to avoid a learner on the motorway)
We have met lots from your country over here and from Canada. They have all been happy travellers.
so its Scotland ho Dave. from here on in for two weeks.
Cheers, Al.
