vacuum advance is for fuel economy and part throttle acceleration when at cruise speeds. I rarely use vacuum advance for high performance. Your car will need to be tested to see which it prefers.If I used vacuum advance I would use the rear port on the carb and limit vacuum advance to 8-10º
